sanitary measure

In order to ensure the safety of volunteers, competitors and spectators during the 2021 edition of the Ubaye Snow Trail Salomon, the organizers are implementing the measures detailed below.

These will be strictly applied, inserted in the internal rules of the event under a dedicated article.

Competitors who do not respect these prescriptions will not take the start or will be disqualified. These measures concern the reception phase and bib distribution on Saturday and Sunday morning and Sunday races (all routes). They are thus declined for the reception, the departure area, the supplies, the arrival area.

The vaccination pass is MANDATORY to participate in sporting events.

The organizers will comply with the regulations in force and will apply the measures enacted.

The pass will be checked when the bibs are given out.

1/ Reception – distribution of bibs:

Location: village hall in Saint Paul sur Ubaye
Date: February 19, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and February 20, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (open to
only local athletes and guest and/or high-level athletes – teams).

Measures taken: competitors will be invited to present themselves by route and series of bibs in the allocated time slot (eg from 1 to 100 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.) in order to limit the flow and the presence in number and continuously of people on the site. Only competitors will be allowed to withdraw their bib (no accompanying person). Beforehand, all registration files must be completed and validated via the website www.sportips.fr before the collection of the bib. No medical certificate missing during registration will be accepted on site so as not to lead to an exchange and additional contact.

The time slot is extended to allow the largest discount. Communication will be carried out in this sense via the website and social networks.

Two withdrawal zones will be set up and materialized (1 for the 20 Km / 1 for the 09 Km) on either side of the room. A direction of circulation will be defined inside the building as well as in the surroundings (pedestrian access).

Ground markings to respect social distancing will be put in place. Hydro-alcoholic gel solutions will be positioned on the tables for competitors and volunteers. Volunteers will be equipped with a mask and a pair of protective gloves to hand out the bibs.

2/ Departure area:

Location: Chalet in the Nordic center of Haute Ubaye – entrance to the Bel Iscle campsite.
Date: Sunday February 14 at 10:00 a.m. for the 20 km (Elite), 10:45 a.m. for the 09 km (Discovery).

Measures taken: The top athletes (10 best men and women on the ITRA coast) will constitute a first airlock. They will be distributed on x lines (determined according to the number of starters) from
from the starting arch (see appendix location map 1). A marking on the ground will be made to materialize these lines. Then, the other runners will be positioned in a spaced out manner. The time of each competitor will be taken when passing the arch (triggering of the chip) in order to respect sporting fairness.

The two departures are spaced 45 minutes apart in order to avoid the massive regrouping of competitors and accompanying persons on the site.

Repeated reminders of barrier measures will be announced by the host at the microphone 30 minutes before each departure.

 3/ Arrival area:

Location: Chalet of the Nordic center of Haute Ubaye – Bel Iscle campsite
Date: Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 11 a.m.

Measures taken: in the case of individual and staggered arrivals, the usual protocol is simply reorganized: an airtight corridor materialized by Vauban barriers will secure the arrival of the runners between the last 200 m and until the passage of the arch. of arrival. Then, an airlock for the "finisher" batch is set up. The passage of each competitor will be delayed if necessary by a volunteer in order to allow only one runner to enter at a time. The delivery of the prize will be carried out by two volunteers wearing gloves and surgical masks. The timing tent will be separated and the access protected by Vauban barriers. The race headquarters and the infirmary will be installed in the premises of the Nordic chalet and the access is regulated.

Access to the tents hosting the supplies will be a one-way route from the end of the arrival area. Only competitors will be able to access it.

This information will be the subject of full communication via the website and social networks.

Repeated reminders of these barrier measures will be announced by the host every ¼ hour via the sound system.

The results will not be displayed on the totem in order to avoid groupings of more than 6 people and broadcast live via the FB of the event as well as on the site.

The prize giving will be arranged in order to limit contacts according to the health guidelines in force on the date of the event and specified later.

Wearing a mask will be compulsory.

4/ Aid stations and refreshments during the race:

Places: Route 09 Km: at Km 5 / Route 20 Km: 1 at Km 5 – 2 & 3 Cabane et plateau de Mirandol

When: Sunday, February 20, 2021

Measures taken: Security of the event = the aid stations will be staffed by qualified volunteers and the soldiers of the PGHM of Jausiers. The instructions and barrier measures will be recalled by the race director / safety manager (G. RASTOUT) during the briefing at 08:00: wearing of single-use gloves, surgical mask, possible symptoms in the event of suspicion of COVID19 during a intervention. Transmission during the alert to the race headquarters of a possible suspicion of the disease. It is up to the person in charge of the emergency services to transmit these same elements during the medical regulation with the competent center 15 to direct the patient to the appropriate hospital structure. One or two queue clamps will close the routes. The time barriers may be reassessed downwards by the race organizing committee in the event of weather, health or sporting constraints.

Refueling: prior obligation for all courses: all competitors must carry their cup and mask. No plastic cups will be offered (compliance with measures
barrier and the environment). This point will also be specified in the internal rules of the event.

All supply points will be maintained in order to guarantee the safety of the runners and manned by volunteers wearing ad-hoc protection (gloves and surgical masks). Bottles of hydro alcoholic gel will be available to volunteers and runners if needed.

For the replenishment of liquids, only water, hot drinks (tea) and sweetened soft drinks will be made available to competitors. Packaged in food containers, the water will be distributed individually by a volunteer dedicated to this task in the container presented by the competitor in the refueling area. Hot drinks and soft drinks (sweetened or not) will be distributed under the same conditions.

There is no refueling in solids, each runner must be autonomous for the course considered. No solid energy intake will be offered to the runners. Only a suitable stock of dried fruits, bananas, energy bars, etc. will make it possible to overcome the discomfort or calorie deficit of an exhausted or tired competitor.

NOTE: all these measures will be adapted, modified, lightened or reinforced according to future prefectural or ministerial decisions, in particular from January 20, 2021.
